Rafa Benitez and his band of Newcastle United players took a break from their Premier League promotion push to spread some Christmas joy at the local Great North Children's Hospital at Royal Victoria Infirmary.
The Spanish manager was joined by the likes of Jamaal Lascelles and Jonjo Shelvey as he arrived equipped with presents for the patients including footballs signed by the first-team.
Their arrival brought some much-needed joy to the young children, some of whom are having to face spending Christmas away from home as they undergo treatment at the hospital.
Ciaran Clark, Karl Darlow, Isaac Hayden and Daryl Murphy also gave up their afternoons to pose for photos with children, who had pulled on their black and white strips especially for the occasion.
