A number of Premier League clubs reportedly want to see chairman Gary Hoffman removed from his post after less than 18 months in the role.
According to The Athletic, frustration has reached a tipping point after Newcastle's Saudi-Arabia backed takeover and there is a consensus among the majority of Premier League teams that Hoffman should depart.
The publication claims that executives across the Premier League do not believe that Hoffman possesses 'necessary clout from a governance, political and communication perspective' and that teams were frustrated with communication regarding Newcastle's takeover.
