Kevin De Bruyne has been told to go back to basics in a bid to make sure Manchester City’s season ends in success.
City can reach the Champions League quarter-finals for a sixth consecutive year should they progress beyond RB Leipzig on Tuesday night as expectations in Europe remain sky high.
De Bruyne was replaced against Newcastle United last week before being named on the bench at Crystal Palace on Saturday, with Pep Guardiola demanding more of his talisman.
‘It’s been a difficult season for all of us, me included, with the World Cup and everything,’ Guardiola said.
