Nottingham Forest have signed Newcastle midfielder Jonjo Shelvey and defender Felipe from Atletico Madrid for undisclosed fees.
Shelvey, 30, has made only three Premier League appearances this season and his contract expires in the summer.
He has joined on a two-and-a-half-year contract, while Felipe, 33, has signed until June 2024.
Forest have also completed a deal for Paris St-Germain keeper Keylor Navas on loan for the rest of the season.
Shelvey, Felipe and Costa Rica international Navas become manager Steve Cooper's fourth, fifth and sixth signings of the January transfer window.
Former England player Shelvey said he had heard good things about Cooper, and added meeting the 43-year-old has been a "breath of fresh air".
