Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden has emerged as a potential target for newly promoted Luton Town.
Hayden still has three years left on his contract with Newcastle, but is training with the Under-21s side after being deemed surplus to requirements by manager Eddie Howe.
After gaining promotion in a dramatic play-off final against Coventry City, Premier League new boys Luton have been looking to strengthen their squad after a winless start to the season.
Rob Edwards' side have already secured the services of former Chelsea and Nice midfielder Ross Barkley and Manchester United academy product Tahith Chong, but are eyeing up a move for Hayden to bolster their defence.
