Newcastle United are locked in a three-way battle with Real Betis and Villarreal for Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro.
The 25-year-old has been told he can leave the Italian champions this summer after growing frustrated at a lack of action.
Juventus have set an asking price of around £9million for the Italian and several clubs are now fighting for him.
The trio have been alerted to the midfielder’s availability and believe he represents good value in an otherwise inflated market.
Everton had previously expressed an interest in the past, but it is reported that they have now turned their attention elsewhere.
