Newcastle defender Kevin Mbabu is to return to his native Switzerland to spend the season on loan at BSC Young Boys.
The 21-year-old, who signed a two-year contract extension earlier this summer, made his Premier League debut in a 2-2 draw with Chelsea last season.
Mbabu joined the Magpies from Servette in January 2013, when he was just 17 and had played only 24 minutes of first-team football for his hometown club.
The full back made his debut as a substitute in Newcastle's Capital One Cup defeat by Sheffield Wednesday on September 23 last year, before being handed a surprise start against Chelsea three days later.
