Newcastle United's players are alarmed at the number of days off Steve Bruce continues to schedule amid their fight for Premier League survival.
Sportsmail has been told of several who are mystified as to why they have not trained on three of the five days since Saturday's 1-1 draw with Wolves, especially as they face a crucial game at West Brom on Sunday.
They believe additional time off should be a reward, not the norm.
This has been a familiar complaint since Bruce arrived and, while the two or three days off every week are no doubt welcomed by some, there are others who believe it is detrimental to their fitness and protection against injuries.
