Jonjo Shelvey looks set to be available for Newcastle's next four fixtures as he awaits a date for a personal hearing in relation to his alleged racial abuse of Wolves midfielder Romain Saiss.
The 24-year-old pleaded not guilty to an FA misconduct charge earlier this month.
But Sportsmail understands it will be another two to three weeks before his case is heard as the FA continue to gather evidence.
The incident occurred during the closing stages of Newcastle’s 2-0 home defeat to Wolves on September 17.
