The home of Newcastle United's Joelinton has been broken into for the second time this year.
Northumbria Police said it received a report of a burglary at an address in Darras Hall, Northumberland, at 19:35 GMT on Thursday, but did not confirm the identity of the homeowner.
In a social media post, the footballer said his property had been targeted again and asked that it "be respected as a safe space" for his family.
The first break-in happened in January while Newcastle were playing Manchester City at St James' Park.
A spokesperson for the force said officers attended the scene but the offenders had fled the area.
