Newcastle midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has pleaded not guilty to a Football Association charge of misconduct in relation to an alleged incident during the Championship game against Wolves in September.
Shelvey faces the possibility of a minimum five-match ban after being charged with misconduct over the alleged racial abuse of a Wolverhampton Wanderers player, thought to be Moroccan Romain Saiss.
The 24-year-old England international had until Wednesday to respond to the charge, which relates to an incident in the closing stages of his team's 2-0 league defeat at St James' Park on September 17.

And Shelvey, the former Liverpool midfielder, has denied the charge.
