Newcastle make bid for Brentford's Alan Judge as the Irish international prepares for contract talks

Newcastle United have made a bid for Brentford midfielder Alan Judge.

The skillful 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international has been a key figure for Brentford in recent seasons after joining from Blackburn Rovers in 2014.

He was in the Football League Team of the Year last season and the Championship's PFA Team of the Year but missed out on Euro 2016 after suffering a double leg fracture in April.
