Newcastle United are exploring a loan deal for Paris Saint Germain goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.
Manager Rafa Benitez is keen to bring in a top level keeper to bolster his defence in the second half of the season.
He has asked about Joe Hart who is on loan at West Ham but David Moyes doesn't want to lose him while Real Madrid's Kika Casilla is another option.
Trapp is a Germany international but has been left on the sidelines for most of this season while Paris St Germain boss Unai Emery prefers Alphonse Areola.
