Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka reportedly rejected a deadline day move to Manchester United on loan.
The Toon were looking to sign United's Dean Henderson on loan until the end of the season and a potential deal could have seen Dubravka head the other way to Old Trafford.
The club were mindful of Ralf Rangnick's need for a backup goalkeeper to David De Gea if they secured Henderson's services for the rest of the season and offered Dubravka in a part-exchange.
But the 33-year-old rejected the proposed move, not wanting to play backup to the Spaniard, according to the Manchester Evening News.
