Newcastle United full-back Jamal Lewis has secured a loan move to Championship side Watford in search of regular first-team opportunities.
The 25-year-old moves to work under Watford boss Valerien Ismael on a season-long deal ahead of the new season.
Lewis will join up with his new team-mates ahead of their opening Championship clash against QPR on August 5.
The Northern Ireland international will be hoping a temporary move away from St James' Park will help his bid for a future place in Eddie Howe's first-team.
An initial £15million move to Newcastle three years ago saw Lewis hailed as a talent for the future, with Magpies supporters hoping he would become a permanent defensive figure in the years that followed.
