Newcastle United are close to finalising a £3million deal for Palermo left-back Achraf Lazaar.
The 24-year-old Morocco international, who can also play in midfield, is due on Tyneside on Sunday for a medical ahead of agreeing terms, and will be in the stands to watch the game against Brighton.
West Ham were also linked with Lazaar earlier on this summer, but opted to sign Olympiakos' Arthur Masuaku instead as they found themselves short at left-back.
Newcastle have also discussed a loan move for Chelsea winger Christian Atsu and have made a £3.
