Newcastle 3-0 Barnsley: Rafa Benitez's men crowned champions after emphatic victory

Newcastle won the Championship in dramatic fashion after Aston Villa's late equaliser against Brighton.

Ayoze Perez opened the scoring with a smart finish from DeAndre Yedlin's inch-perfect low cross.

Chancel Mbemba doubled the lead after reacting quickest when Perez's shot had been well saved by Barnsley goalkeeper Adam Davies. Dwight Gayle made it three in the closing stages with a close range finish.
