Newcastle United have completed the signing of Aston Villa left-back Matt Targett on a four-year deal.
The 26-year-old joined Eddie Howe's side on loan last season, moving to St James' Park in January.
He made 16 Premier League appearances, during which Newcastle won 10 games, lifting them from the bottom three to finish 11th.
"I'm absolutely delighted to sign a four-year contract with this club," said Targett.
"For me, it was an easy decision to make the loan permanent after the welcome I had from my fellow players, the staff, the supporters and the owners so I'm really happy to be here.
