Manchester United are monitoring Royal Antwerp’s highly rated midfielder Arthur Vermeeren.
The teenager marked his 18th birthday this week by signing a new contract until 2026 and is being tipped by his club coach Mark van Bommel to make a big impact with the Belgium national side.
Vermeeren made his debut last August in the Europa Conference League against Lillestrom but had already made his mark playing for Belgium in the European Championships U17 tournament in Israel last May.
Scouts have followed him closely and he is continuing to develop quickly, earning rave reviews with his performances for Antwerp under the tutelage of former Holland, Barcelona and Bayern Munich midfielder van Bommel.
