Loris Karius could be set for a Newcastle United exit just four months after joining the club as they weigh up their goalkeeping options.
The former Liverpool goalkeeper joined Eddie Howe's side on a short term deal back in September, and his contract is due to expire at the end of January.
The 29-year-old has been acting as a back-up to No 1 keeper Nick Pope who has been an important member of a team that has shot up the Premier League table this term and is battling to secure a Champions League place sitting third in the table.
