Liverpool are poised to confirm the £60million signing of Dominik Szoboszlai from Red Bull Leipzig after he landed on Merseyside for his medical.
The midfielder was given permission to travel after Liverpool triggered his release clause. He flew into Liverpool on a private plane yesterday morning and underwent the first stage of tests ahead of signing his contract.
Szoboszlai, 22, had been watched extensively by Newcastle United but their budget was limited by the £52m signing of Sandro Tonali from AC Milan. The Hungary international helped Leipzig win the German Cup as he scored in their 2-0 win over Frankfurt.
