Eddie Howe was confronted by a pitch intruder during Newcastle's 2-2 draw with Leeds on Saturday afternoon in a major breach of security at Elland Road, with the invader later being arrested and served with a lifetime ban.
The man reached the technical area to put his hands on Howe before security reached the Magpies manager and led the man away.
The invasion took place just after 90 minutes of the match had been played, and against the backdrop of a crucial late free-kick for the Magpies.
The Whites have confirmed that an arrest had been made following the incident on Saturday, which saw a major security breach punctuate a thrilling tie.
