Kolo Toure and Ivory Coast squad attend funeral of former Newcastle star Cheick Tiote

Former Ivory Coast team-mates of Cheick Tiote have attended his funeral service in the country's capital of Abidjan.

The former Newcastle United midfielder passed away earlier this month after suffering a heart attack during a training session with his Chinese club Beijing Enterprise.

Members of the Ivory Coast squad were present, including former international Kolo Toure, Wilfried Bony and Salomon Kalou.

Tiote left Newcastle in February after nearly seven years at St James' Park, during which time he made 156 appearances and scored one goal.
