Rangers are on the verge of reaching a deal to cut ties with 'stressed' midfielder Joey Barton.
The controversial 34-year-old has not played for the club since being suspended following a training ground bust-up with team-mate Andy Halliday and manager Mark Warburton in September.
That flashpoint came days after the club's 5-1 Old Firm hammering at Celtic Park.
After returning from a length suspension, Barton had been forced to train with the kids at the club's Auchenhowie training base.
