Newcastle striker Callum Wilson walked back his statement that Liverpool weren't back in the top four race following their drubbing of Manchester United 7-0 at Anfield on Sunday.
Wilson made his apology on the podcast he shares with fellow Premier League target-man Michail Antonio, The Footballer's Football Podcast.
Wilson laughingly blamed his cosmic karma, saying that 'the universe' was determined to prove any statement of his wrong.
Liverpool brushed aside their long-term rivals United with a 7-0 shellacking that sent the Merseyside club up to fifth in the table, after a long stint in the middle of the pack during one of the club's rockier seasons of late.
