Southend striker Nile Ranger has found himself in more hot water after being left out of his side's 1-1 draw at MK Dons due to a "disciplinary procedure".
The 26-year-old, who spent ten weeks in prison over the summer, was not selected at Stadium MK on Tuesday, with boss Phil Brown refusing to divulge the nature of Ranger's latest misdemeanour.
Brown told the Southend Echo: "Nile isn't involved because of a disciplinary procedure yesterday.
"It's not for public consumption what's happened but it's just down to discipline and we'll leave it at that."
Nile has a lengthy rap sheet during a career that has taken in spells at Newcastle, Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday, Swindon and Blackpool.
