EXCLUSIVENewcastle eye Spurs clash in South Korea, why parade stage-show was nearly cancelled at last minute and inside the after-party that could influence stadium move: NEWCASTLE CONFIDENTIAL

Newcastle are in talks over a lucrative pre-season friendly against Tottenham at what would be a sold-out stadium in the South Korean capital of Seoul, Confidential can reveal.

Given the presence of Spurs and South Korea captain Son Heung-min, a capacity crowd of 66,000 would be expected at the World Cup Stadium, which hosted the country’s semi-final defeat by Germany in 2002.

We understand Spurs are in discussions over a return to Korea and a game against Newcastle is now a strong possibility.

The Magpies were in talks with organisers in Hong Kong over playing matches at the new Kai Tak Stadium this summer.
