Eddie Howe held back tears as he spoke of the emotion he felt after ending Newcastle's 70-year wait for a domestic trophy in the Carabao Cup final.

It is the first time since the FA Cup final of 1955 that Newcastle have lifted a trophy at Wembley and, on full-time, it was Howe's name the Toon Army sent reverberating around the ground.
He once walked the old Wembley steps with his mum, Anne, during a stadium tour when he was a boy.
