Eddie Howe has issued a night-time city centre ban to his players after Jamaal Lascelles was caught-up in a violent early-hours brawl.
As revealed by Mail Sport, the Newcastle skipper was allegedly attacked by a gang of at least half-a-dozen men in the city, with claims they threatened to shoot the 29-year-old defender.
Howe insisted Lascelles played peace-maker in last month's incident after video footage came to light this week, but he underlined his concerns about his players being out on the town in the small hours.
As a result, he has reluctantly issued a night-time curfew on his squad entering the centre of Newcastle to prevent the threat of any repeat.
