Eddie Howe bemoaned ‘mistakes’ that cost his Newcastle side a fourth straight Premier League victory after West Ham’s late equaliser.
The Magpies were in control after Alexander Isak’s second half double reversed Tomas Soucek’s opener, which came on the back of an error by goalkeeper Nick Pope.
But Newcastle failed to track the run of Mohammed Kudus, with Sean Longstaff committed upfield and Sandro Tonali too slow to block the substitute’s shot as he found the bottom corner in the 89th minute.
‘I think there’s frustration,’ said Howe, who could not hide his disappointment at West Ham’s second goal.
