Newcastle United have sent defender Jamie Sterry on loan to League One side Coventry City.
The 20-year-old made his first start for the Magpies in last week's 2-0 EFL Cup victory over Cheltenham Town at St. James' Park.
Sterry also signed a new four-year contract earlier this month but Newcastle have decided that the next stage of his development should come on loan.
So Sterry has agreed a loan at the Ricoh Arena until January 3 where he will link up with former Toon team-mate Gael Bigirimana.
