Darwin Nunez is doubtful for Liverpool's Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday after picking up a shoulder injury.
Jurgen Klopp's side secured a 2-0 win at St James' Park to overcome fellow top four rivals Newcastle United on Saturday evening.
However, the victory may not be celebrated for long, with opening goalscorer Nunez landing heavily on his shoulder during the match, leaving his availability for Tuesday uncertain.
The Uruguayan striker was withdrawn just before the hour mark with the injury, and replaced by Roberto Firmino.
Klopp told reporters: 'The bad news is that Darwin has something on his shoulder so we’ll have to see.
