Crystal Palace 1-1 Newcastle: Luka Milivojevic's penalty cancels out Mo Diame's strike to earn hosts a point... as Christian Benteke misses an open goal

An important game between two relegation rivals ended in honours even in south-east London on Sunday afternoon.

Newcastle took the lead at Crystal Palace when Mo Diame scored on 22 minutes. A vital away win looked on the cards until Eagles captain Luka Milivojevic equalised from the penalty spot in the second half.

Palace will be ruing the chances they wasted - especially those which befell Christian Benteke.
