Benitez happy with Newcastle 'control'

Manager Rafael Benitez says there is more to come from Newcastle United despite an impressive display in Sunday's 2-0 win against Leeds United.

The win, their ninth in a row in all competitions, put the Magpies five points clear of Brighton at the top of the Championship table.

Two goals from striker Dwight Gayle, one in each half, sealed the points and ended Leeds' three game winning run.

"Everything we tried to do we did well," Benitez told BBC Newcastle.

"From set-pieces, control of the game and counter-attack, we saw the effort, the mentality was good and the understanding of the game was very good.
