Bayern Munich are reportedly close to pulling the plug on negotiations with Newcastle over their move for Kieran Trippier.
The German giants have been wooing Trippier in recent days but have had three bids rejected.
They do not intend to submit a new offer after having a £12.8million bid rejected on Tuesday because they do not want to pay an unreasonable price, as per Sky Sport Germany.
Bayern had wanted to shore up their squad as they look to slash the seven-point gap to Bundesliga pace-setters Bayer Leverkusen, with a right-back a key priority.
