The New York Yankees have reportedly emerged as the most determined suitor for San Diego Padres closer Craig Kimbrel in advance of today's MLB Trade Deadline, per Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports:

Kimbrel, 27, has converted on 30 of his 31 save opportunities with the Padres this year. However, his peripheral stats (2.68 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 3.7 K/BB ratio) are a few ticks worse than his career marks with two months to go in the regular season.
If he's signed, he'd likely slot into the closer role with Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller serving in a 7/8 capacity in a situation reminiscent of the Kansas City Royals' vaunted back-of-the-bullpen trio during their run to last year's AL pennant.
