The MLB trade deadline of August 1st is rapidly approaching, and the trade rumors around the New York Yankees are starting to heat up. The Yankees are 48-47, but are several games back of a Wild Card berth. The Yankees are expected be sellers at the deadline, although the front office hasn't made that decision yet. With that in mind, here all the latest Yankees trade rumors you need to know.
New York trading Beltran to Giants?
Outfielder Carlos Beltran is expected to be perhaps the first Yankees player that gets dealt leading up to the deadline, and the San Francisco Giants have emerged as the frontrunner to land him, according to NJ.com's Randy Miller:
Getting Carlos Beltran from the Mets for Zack Wheeler in July 2011 didn't work out. Beltran hit .323 in 44 games following the trade, but the Giants missed the playoffs.
Five years later, the Giants just might roll the dice again on Beltran, this time by swinging a trade with the Yankees, their opponent this weekend at Yankee Stadium.
According to ESPN's Buster Olney, "The uncertainty about (injured Giants right fielder) Hunter Pence has nudged the Giants into re-examining the market for outfielders."
If the Yankees opt to be sellers, which definitely remains a strong possibility, Beltran and Jay Bruce of Cincinnati figure to be two of the top outfielders on the market with Colorado All-Star Carlos Gonzalez possibly available too at a very high cost.
Beltran is batting .300 with 20 home runs and 60 RBIs.
Giants also interested in Chapman, Miller
San Francisco is also looking for relief help, and that has them also talking to the Yankees about Aroldis Chapman and Andrew Miller, reports ESPN's Jerry Crasnick:
#SFGiants also scouting #Brewers Will Smith and Jeremy Jeffress. Lingering on Miller-Chapman, but might be outgunned by #Cubs, #Nationals.

Chapman has a 2.22 ERA with 19 saves in 29 appearances this season, while Miller has a 1.31 ERA with seven saves and 70 strikeouts this season.
Blue Jays interested in Cashner, Sabathia?
New York is also rumored to be shopping multiple members of their pitching staff, and according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Blue Jays have shown recent interest in CC Sabathia:
The Blue Jays sent scouts to watch at least CC Sabathia and Andrew Cashner Thursday in what may be an indication they will follow through on their plan to move All-Star starter Aaron Sanchez into the bullpen.
The Jays are weighing both starters and relievers but are said to be concerned about the innings of Sanchez, and are expected to limit them. Optimally, they’d probably love to add a starter, but it won’t be easy on this market.
Cashner is one of the most talented starters available, but he’s been shockingly inconsistent at times. Sabathia has generally pitched well this year, though he dropped to 5-8 with a 4.04 ERA and may not even be available. The Yankees have been weighing whether to sell seemingly for weeks. Beyond that, Sabathia has veto power over trades as a 10-and-5 players.
New York is also open to dealing starters Michael Pineda and Nathan Eovaldi.
