Neil Walker Headed To The Yankees?
There have been a lot of rumors this offseason about who will be playing second base and third base for the Yankees in 2018 - and whether prospects Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar will start at those positions - but New York seems nervous to trust both young players right away this season.
Insert veteran infielder Neil Walker. Joel Sherman of the New York Post mentioned Walker in an article listing New York's needs they can still address. Walker can play second and third base, which makes him an ideal target for the Yankees.
The 32-year-old coming off back surgery and batted .265/.362/.439 with 14 home runs and 49 RBI in 111 games this past season on the New York Mets and Milwaukee Brewers.

The Rockies Are Interested In Frazier?
Thomas Harding of MLB.com reported that the Colorado Rockies are interested in free agent third baseman Todd Frazier.
Harding notes that the Rockies are also considering re-signing outfielder Carlos Gonzalez and first baseman Mark Reynolds, so it's unclear how serious the conversations are. If the Rockies sign Reynolds or Frazier, Ian Desmond would likely play in the outfield. However, if Colorado brings back Gonzalez, Desmond would likely play first base, since he can play either left field or first base.
Depending on what the Rockies decide to do with Reynolds and Gonzalez, will likely be the falling dominos in their pursuit of Frazier.
Yankees Sign Danny Espinosa
On Monday Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reported that the Yankees have signed infielder Danny Espinosa to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. The Rays released Espinosa in early October and he hasn't seen a lot of action in free agency.
The move makes sense for both sides, as Espinosa will get an opportunity to compete at second base and the Yankees get a cheap veteran infielder.
Last season was one to forget for the 30-year-old. He had a .173/.245/.278 batting line in 93 games for the Angels, Mariners, and Rays.
