The MLB Winter Meetings have wound down, but the New York Yankees rumor mill is still in full operation. Here's the juiciest tidbits from Thursday's Hot Stove.
Dodgers Moving From Chapman To Miller?
The Los Angeles Dodgers will not trade for Cincinnati Reds closer Aroldis Chapman in the wake of domestic violence allegations which surfaced recently. Instead, it appears they may make a run at New York Yankees closer Andrew Miller.
According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Dodgers are at least considering it at the present moment. The Houston Astros are another team in the market for bullpen help who could make a run at Miller, per multiple media reports.
Yankees Have Contacted Rafael Soriano
The former Yankees closer missed most of the 2015 season due to shoulder problems and was released by the Chicago Cubs back in early September. However, it appears the 35-year-old reliever is on track for 100% involvement in Spring Training and is starting to garner interest.
Per Jon Heyman, the Yankees contacted Soriano's representation in recent days. After two relatively successful seasons with the Washington Nationals in 2013 and 2014, Soriano's value is at least high enough for a low-cost flier.
