One of the biggest Yankees rumors continues to swirl with John Heyman of Fan Rag Sports releasing his odds for which MLB team is the most likely to sign Bryce Harper in 2019. If you thought this offseason was exciting for the Yankees with them acquiring Giancarlo Stanton, just wait until next year when star outfielder Harper becomes available. The 25-year-old superstar batted .319/.413/.595 with 29 home runs and 87 RBI in 111 games in 2017. He is expected to get a contract in the 10-year, $400 million range. It has even been rumored for him to be the first player to hit $500 million. So what are the Yankees odds in signing Harper? Heyman believes 25-1, which are only the seventh best odds.
Here are the odds for the teams with the best chance to sign Harper according to Heyman in 2019:
1. Los Angeles Dodgers Odds: 3-1
2. Washington Nationals Odds: 7-2
3. Philadelphia Phillies Odds: 5-1
4. San Francisco Giants Odds: 8-1
5. Atlanta Braves Odds: 10-1
6. Chicago Cubs Odds: 15-1
7. New York Yankees Odds: 25-1
8. Boston Red Sox Odds: 50-1
9. The Field Odds: 15-1
Harper is off to a hot start in 2018 batting .286 with four home runs and nine RBIs.
