The excitement around the New York Yankees has been incredible, especially around outfielder Giancarlo Stanton. The Yankees traded for Stanton this offseason and the hype around how he will impact the Bronx Bombers' lineup has continued to grow. The Yankees led the MLB in home runs last season with 142, so adding the 2017 NL MVP who hit 59 home runs should only help that number rise. Despite the hype, Stanton didn't have the best home opener and the Yankees fans let him hear it. Here is the latest Yankees news you don't want to miss:

Stanton Gets Booed
In his first game in New York, Stanton didn't have the start he was hoping for. He went 0-5 with five strikeouts against the Tampa Bay Rays. He now is batting .211 with nine strikeouts in five games. Since he homered twice on Opening Day, Stanton has struggled to record only two hits in his last four games.
After Stanton struck out five times on Tuesday, the Yankees fans let him hear it with boos, plenty of boos.
The five strikeouts were a career high for Stanton, but luckily for him, the Yankees were still able to get the win.
Neil Walker Out Of Wednesday's Lineup
The Yankees will not start the veteran Neil Walker today against the Rays. Ronald Torreyes will get the start at second base and bat ninth in New York's lineup.
Walker this season is batting .235 with one RBI and four runs scored. The Yankees signed Walker this offseason to help add a veteran presence to a young team and provide depth in the infield.
Adam Warren Is Available
After being struck in the foot on Saturday against the Blue Jays, Yankees relief pitcher Adam Warren was forced to leave the game. On Sunday, Warren went to have an MRI on his ankle and the results came back negative.
With the Yankees feeling confident in the health of Warren he will be available to pitch for New York on Wednesday, according to Yankees beat writer Bryan Hoch.
The 30-year-old right-hander is working in middle relief this season for New York and having him healthy will be important if the Yankees want to have one of the most dominant bullpens in baseball.
