Yanks emerging as front-runner for Britton

The Yankees have emerged as the front-runner to acquire O's closer Zach Britton, a source tells MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal.

Yankees No. 9 prospect Dillon Tate was scratched from his Double-A start on Tuesday.

Britton, 30, returned from his right Achilles injury on June 12 and has four saves in 16 appearances out of the Baltimore bullpen.
