NEW YORK -- Chris Parmelee homered twice, including a game-tying blast to spark a four-run sixth inning, helping to lead the Yankees to a 12-6 victory over the Angels on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium.
Making his first start in pinstripes, Parmelee hooked a solo blast inside the right-field foul pole to begin the sixth against Angels right-hander Jered Weaver, then homered again in the seventh facing Greg Mahle. Weaver took the loss, surrendering six runs and nine hits in 5 1/3 innings.
