Matt Joyce homered on the first pitch Masahiro Tanaka threw, and the A’s didn’t let up on the Yankees’ starter, going deep three times and handing the American League East leaders their fifth straight loss with a 5-2 win Saturday afternoon at the Coliseum.
Ryon Healy added the other two homers off Tanaka, who lasted only four innings. He allowed five runs on eight hits, though he struck out 10.
Well, at least this loss was over with pretty quickly.
