NEW YORK -- Now that the World Series is over, a trio of Yankees have officially become free agents: LHP Chris Capuano, second baseman Stephen Drew and outfielder Chris Young.
Of the three, only Young seems to have a chance of returning to the Yankees in 2016. He batted .252 overall with 14 home runs and 42 RBI, but was a useful player against left-handed pitching, batting .327 against them with a .972 OPS. He likely will seek a hefty raise over the $2.5 million he earned in 2015.
Capuano, who was paid $5 million in 2015, started the season on the disabled list and then went 0-4 with a 7.
