Yankees’ win streak snapped as Sabathia leaves with leg injury

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Not only did the Yankees watch a six-game winning streak vanish into the pleasant Southern California evening Tuesday they might have seen CC Sabathia disappear for a spell.

After Tyler Clippard flushed a lead in the eighth, Eric Young Jr.’s two-out single off Ben Heller’s body carried the Angels to a 3-2 victory in 11 innings at Angel Stadium that was witnessed by 33,159.
Working his first game this season with the Yankees and his 10th in the majors, Ben Heller replaced Chasen Shreve with one out and a runner on first. With Andrelton Simmons on third and two outs Heller walked Cliff Pennington and gave up the game-winning single to Young Jr.
