This is turning out to be some Fourth of July weekend in the Bronx.
The Yankees had their second straight walk-off win on Saturday, beating the Rays 3-2 when Tampa Bay reliever Brad Boxberger made a bad throw to first on Ramon Flores’ sacrifice bunt and first baseman James Loney couldn’t make the throw home in time to get pinch-runner Jose Pirela at home.
One day after Brian McCann’s homer won the game in the 12th, the miscue got Dellin Betances off the hook.
Mark Teixeira set up the game-winner with a leadoff double to right in the ninth.
