Yankees walk it off on Walker’s pinch-hit blast

NEW YORK — Things were not looking good midway thru, but three home runs quickly turned a another crushing loss to the White Sox into a feel-good win for the Bombers, 5-4, at Yankee Stadium.

Tonight, Neil Walker was the hero, as he came into the game as a pinch-hitter for Ronald Torreyes in the ninth, and turned on the first pitch he saw and sent it into the stands in right field. It was a big hit that could energize this team.

To be fair, Lance Lynn pitched a pretty good game tonight, overcoming sloppy defense and going 5 2/3 innings of three run ball.
