Yankees turning another top pitching prospect into reliever

A second top Yankees pitching prospect has been moved to the bullpen.

A week after the Yankees shifted Justus Sheffield to the pen in hopes he can help the big-league team in September, Chance Adams is being converted to a reliever, which will make him more useful for a major league team with a full rotation.

Adams, a right-hander who made his major league debut this year, is expected to come out of the bullpen Sunday for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Adams made 23 starts this year at Triple-A and pitched to a 4.98 ERA in 106 2/3 innings, as well as throwing 6 2/3 innings with an 8.
