With pitchers and catchers less than a week away from reporting to spring training, two of the looming questions prior to the start of the baseball season were answered late Tuesday night: Where will Mookie Betts end up, and will the Dodgers essentially stand pat?
The Dodgers acquired Betts and David Price in a blockbuster, three-team trade with the Red Sox and the Twins. Minnesota received righty Kenta Maeda and Boston picked up outfielder Alex Verdugo and righty Brusdar Graterol.
The Dodgers opened the offseason at 6/1 to win the World Series at Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas, but had improved to 5/1 before the deal.
